At last Tuesday’s Council meeting, Councillors unanimously voted to adopt a Formal Positions of Council Policy which will clarify how Council responds to issues which are beyond Council’s remit and on which there is no existing Council position.

I’m glad that some new people are getting involved with Maldon Inc, but it is perturbing to learn that for a while just four people were the unelected representatives of Maldon, ‘sourcing grants, mounting advertising campaigns, running events, liaising with Council…’.
